4. Branding & Creative Direction

Most brands in the startup and Web3 space look like they were designed by committee. Or worse, by a template. You can feel it instantly. The logo that looks like every other logo. The landing page that reads like it was written by someone who's never used the product. The visual identity that falls apart the second it leaves the pitch deck.

That's not a design problem. That's a direction problem. And direction is what I do.

I've built brands from nothing. Taken a product nobody had heard of and turned it into something people recognized, trusted, and talked about. I was an early design hire at Polygon when it was still Matic. I've helped shape brands that went on to raise millions, attract communities, and hold attention in markets where attention is the hardest currency there is.

Branding isn't logos and color palettes. That's the output. Branding is the decision-making framework underneath. It's the reason someone trusts your product before they've even used it. Building Huetale with Dragoon taught me what it looks like when someone actually knows how to build something that scales. 9. Strategic.

Dragoon and I started Hexorial as a side project. I handled the technical side, he ran everything else: product, brand, growth, hiring, strategy. I'll be honest, he'd push for things I thought we weren't ready for, partnerships with Adobe, Figma and IxDA when we were still figuring ourselves out. But he was usually right. What I respected most was how he could execute with almost no resources and still make it work. We didn't always agree on everything, but I trusted him to handle the business side while I focused on building. He kept things simple when they could've gotten messy, and that's why we scaled.
